Established when? Why “Diamond” Engineering?

Established in 1969. Nippon Carbide Industries, our parent company, inherited us from the Mitsubishi Group and at the time it was decided that the name should use the word “diamond”. By combining forces and through diligent application, it was our desire that the new entity should shine like a diamond. The name “DEC” is an abbreviation of “Diamond Engineering Co., Ltd.”

We listen to the customer’s needs and project details, then we discuss the project’s goals, requirements, problems with the customer while examining how to find the optimum solution. We conduct a basic design of the facility, summarize specifications, and present an estimate. If the tender is successful, we move to the detailed design of the facility.

We have numerous contracts with customers covering all aspects of the iron and steel industry, chemical industry, environmental fields, construction work, maintenance work and analysis work. In particular in the iron and steel industry, our reputation is highly regarded as top class throughout the world in hot metal pretreatment processes and powder injection technologies. And we value our relationship with those who wish to work with us, and stand ready with honest, diligent staff, expertise honed over many years, and a flexible application of ideas in many types of industry.

What are the other features?

We focus attention on the goals of succeeding in a competitive marketplace with new technology and projects. We always look forward with a spirit of challenge, whether it be eco-friendly sludge volume reduction systems, entering a new business using existing technology, or reducing procurement costs by manufacturing overseas. In September, 2009, we established an important sales and procurement base in Dalian City in China, and we are planning to fully enter the Chinese market.

We possess the capabilities and organizational system to accomplish a whole series of engineering tasks. For the customer, it begins with an optimum, high-merit proposal right through to long-term maintenance! We are that kind of engineering company. Our global structure allows us to procure inexpensive, high-quality products from overseas if that is the customer’s wish.

What about our foreign transactions?

Ever since opening a direct export contract with Taiwan’s CSC Co., Ltd. in 1980, we conduct business directly with foreign enterprises ourselves, not just like a trading company. Since then we have been exporting as an independent entity to many countries, including China, South Korea, Taiwan, India, Brazil and others. We commenced procurement operations with select Chinese companies in 1996, where we pay scrupulous attention to production management, quality control, and delivery control in order to reduce costs for our customers. In recent years, our efforts have been recognized by many customers expressing their gratitude.
